Creating a spiritual successor to an arcade game

We were assigned to a group and provided with an Unreal Engine template. We were not allowed to build new mechanics or functionality within the template, but instead could only modify variables to produce the desired project vision.
My job was, therefore, assuring the quality of the assigned product, as well as making sure the core concept of the previously chosen game – in our teams case, Time Pilot – was still present in the delivered product at the end of the timeframe.
